Rules

Mini-news.com has space for 1,000 Iframe Ad spots.
Initially designed for media businesses, it may also be useful for a wide range of regularly updated information projects, - from small newsletters to big forums or online communities. Language: English. If you believe that your personal website has really outstanding quality content you may qualify too.
The service is for the next 3 years, - at least till January 1, 2010.

Size of each Iframe is 100x100 (10,000) pixels.
This can be considered a minimal size, as end users are capable to enlarge it, - either through built-in 'Customize' feature of Mini-News.com, or by changing settings of their browsers.

Price of each Iframe Ad spot is $10,000.
As its actual size can be bigger than 10,000 pixels, - it's less than $1 per pixel. And considering each spot comes with almost UNLIMITED (i)frame Ad space at corresponding subdomain, - it's MUCH less than $1 per pixel!
If you want, think of it as "hiring" me for the job of supporting the promoting you website, - for less than $280 per month. How many people in your country are ready to work for this salary?

Content displayed on mini-news.com is subject to the following rules:

Format of Iframe Ads is minipage.
The simplest way to create your minipage is by pasting your ad content into a copy of the html file you like in the Minipage Gallery. The Gallery's code may be used or modified by every sponsor of mini-news.com, as well as by every partner of the sponsors' mini-Webs, provided resulting minipages are displayed at mini-news.com.
See also tips in Developer section.

As technologies move fast, the minipage and mini-Web formats are a work in progress, and may be updated from time to time.
As any technical system can become a target of hackers' or abusers' attacks, mini-news.com is not responsible for results of the attacks, and reserves the right to change its rules or policy for better protecting interests of sponsors.

Current technical restrictions for minipages:

- maximum file size is 3Kb
- no sounds or (i)frames
- no external scripts, stylesheets, etc.
- no more than 1 image (counted towards 3Kb)
- links point to sponsor's web location
- target attribute of links must be _blank,
or _self (if you point to another minipage).

Your minipage(s) must be family friendly (no porn or offensive).
This also concerns its linked content.

As the principle of "peaceful co-existence" of many minipages on one mini-Web page is not easy to formalize, there are certain types of actions developers of minipages should avoid.
For example, they must not use a code that prevents users from viewing other minipages! In particular, any kind of pop-up may be considered as "unfair competition". Script usage should be minimal, if any, and not consume user's system resources as a never-ending cycle. The same may be said about flash code that updates online.
Attempts of unauthorized controlling the hosting mini-Webs or Mini-News.com site are illegal.
Such attempts may result in suspending, or even completely removing the ad spot in question from the mini-news.com space. No refund for such cases.

Sponsors do not own a part of Mini-News.com. Rather, they obtain the right to use a specified Iframe Ad space, subject to these rules and tos.

Running your Mini-Web is optional. See example.
For this purpose, each sponsor is granted almost UNLIMITED (i)frame ad space at subdomain of their choice, e.g., MyTopic.mini-news.com. Using unrelated celebrity or brand names not allowed. Subdomains "1", "my", "mini", and "mobi" are reserved.

You may purchase as many Iframe Ads as you want (subject to availability), but they must have different content and point to different locations.

All sales are final and not refundable!

By participating in Mini-News project, you agree within 10 days from approving your order to setup, and then update regularly, your minipage at your web location.

Iframe Ad spot #1 is going to be offered via auction.
Although you can be the first to buy a "regular" spot, if the future auction winner decides to place his spot #1 into your category, your one will be shifted to a second place.

To order your Iframe Ad spot, please send to from your business email (free or anonymous emails not considered) the following info:

- your name and address
- your website's URL and description
- your future minipage's URL, description, and category (see bar above).

If approved (see Mini-News Orders (RSS 2.0)), you will be provided with details of my bank account to make the money transfer. Once my bank confirms (Mini-News Sales (RSS 2.0)) the transfer, your minipage will be "inserted" into corresponding iframe at mini-news.com
