1  The real issue of touch on today's desktops comes up: There's just not that much you can do with touch. ... Does touch really make sense on a PC? My early experience suggests it does not. ... it's simply easier to stick with the mouse because you know it works everywhere.

 2  Until [applications written with touch as the primary interface] arrive, Windows will continue to feel like an OS built chiefly for use with a keyboard and mouse -- which it is. .. Still, ultimately, the Pack is just a sexy demo of the interface's potential, not an argument for buying a touch computer today.

 3  We've spent some time with Windows 7 .. new touch and multitouch features this week, and came away largely disappointed. It's not that they don't work, at least on occasion, it's that they don't really provide a comprehensive or pleasurable method for using a computer.
