I Have A Dream
This is a kind of the famous "I Have a Dream" speech, delivered by Martin L. King,
-- but about Internet!
My first dream is to make the Web SIMPLE!
Moreover, - to turn it into space without ads!
Most of people HATE them! At the same time, we all are slaves, - slaves of ads!
I have a dream that one day the ads will disappear from our webpages.
All we need to do, is to simply Say No to Ads!
"One hundred years later", - said King to America, - "the Negro lives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity."
Today, 45 years since his speech, i, - a white man, living almost in the center of Europe, - have the same feelings..
My another dream is to earn on the Internet at least a "Mini-Billion".
Two years ago, on the first(!) and the only personal computer I ever could afford to buy in my life, i wrote my first Mini-News:
"In the 21st century, - at my age of 41! - I want to have:
- my FIRST car
- my FIRST house
- my FIRST (and the only) wife.
But more than that, I want to give people like me the HOPE that it's possible to earn a million worth success FAIR!"
Nothing changed in my life since that ...
I have a dream that one day competition on the Web will not depend on what passport you have in offline world.
The reason #1 why most Internet startups in poor countries are doomed - the lack of starting capital behind them. Which in the most cases means $0, - literally!
And it's quite different from the temporary cash problems a citizen of developed country might have. They cannot, for example, spend $1,000 for initial promotion, like a poor(!) British student did for his money raising Million Dollar Homepage.
You still think creative and ingenious ideas rule the Internet success?
Imagine that you have a magic time machine to roll back two years in the past.
Imagine the world, - excepting you!, - is not aware of the famous "Pixel Ads" concept.
Then, being a student in Ukraine, would you earn a $MILLION with that?
The answer is No!
Beginning with, you may not obtain a penny from such popular worldwide services as PayPal, etc. For them, Ukrainians do not exist!
And the rest of the problems come from your inability to pay big money for promoting your future success: You will not exist for MEDIA!
Forget about BBC, which actually "made" $million for that British student.
Forget about other media. Right now, for example, they are buzzing about website of a "fearless" Australian, who decided to start a new life. How? Through turning into hard cash all the property he already has, -- his house in a beautiful place, car, motorbike, etc.
If your works are invisible for search engine, they don't exist for internet.
And according to Bill Gates, if you don't exist on the internet, - you don't exist at all!
I've done a lot of exciting web projects. But I live in poor Ukraine, and that's makes even internet a completely different experience.
You will not find any reference for my recent websites on some leading search engines.
Wanna try? Open Infospace's search engines, e.g., their award-winning Dogpile.com, and enter the name of my personal website "2Infospace.com" I launched last year.
There will be ZERO results, - nothing!
Why? Because my personal life story appeared too dangerous for Infospace, Inc., - the American company that wanted to be the first in the world $TRILLION company?
If you were born in a free country, just think about it for a second:
Since when results of YOUR searching became controlled by what search engine's CEOs feel about them? And it's not about Google for Chinese people. It's about Infospace for Americans!
Infospace's Dogpile.com is a meta search engine, which means it combines results from other search engines -- Google, Yahoo, MSN Search, etc.
"By bringing together the best results from the top engines on Dogpile.com, consumers can be confident they are receiving the most relevant results", said Brian Bowman, vice president of marketing and product management for InfoSpace Search & Directory.
What about my website? It IS listed on Google, Yahoo, ...
Infospace knows about existence of my 2Infospace.com, -- that's why they've DELETED it from their search databases? Anyway, Infospace hasn't contacted me to answer to my questions, - despite that's the main reason why i created that website.
Just in special dividends, Infospace in 2007 paid a half of $BILLION!
Of course, they didn't pay me a penny. Why would they?
Infospace ruined my life, but thinks it owes to me nothing.
Should I dream that Infospace will never become the #1 search engine?
Obviously, I do NOT EXIST for Infospace!

In fact, I KNOW HOW TO MAKE $MILLIONS BY CRASHING INFOSPACE'S BRAND!
The problem is, I'm still not sure I want to earn them that way..
